the techart wheel is also sweet...but it runs $1195. It does use the stock airbag cover though...which I like. Pic courtesy of Arling.

I also have the FVD one. CF and leather. It does not block the gages at all! I love it. I have another thread around here with pics, BTW. I waited 3 months for the TechArt wheel..it never came.

Not to hijack this thread, but what ever happened to the guy who purchased the ALG (I think) wheel that looked horrible?[/quote]

I'm that guy. The wheel itself looks OK but the airbag cover looks crummy. If I had it to do over again. I would buy and aftermarket wheel and call it a day ALGA is just not up to the job.

We should get together one day and you can see it in person. I'm in Alexandria.

Hey Gunther, sorry, I couldn't remember who got it. Did you end up using the wheel, or did you get a replacement?

Also, yes to getting together. Let me know, and maybe we can round up a few other guys.

That guy would be me! AGLA kept on insisting to warranty the work even though all the excuses and BS.

I sent the wheel back and asked him for an advice of refund. I havent heard from him...so... Its in the AMEX dispute queue.

Hmm... talk about thicker steering wheels. How about this one??

I believe that's the same one as FVD. Both EVO and FVD get it from the same company; the only difference I see is the small badge at the bottom of the wheel.

Well, I cant wait for this to be available. Although, I think I'd want this without the badge at the bottom....

Coming from an M3..I hope this is thick enough...considering the TechArt ones arent that thick...

Ari, the EVOMS one looks exactly the same as the FVD wheel, so you could get it from FVD. I ordered mine already, and will post my feedback with pics when it gets here.

I got the 340mm. I believe it does come with the airbag (or maybe stock airbag is reused), but it's not embossed with the Porsche crest. It comes with the FVD logo at the bottom, but it's pretty small and I guess you could swap it out if you wanted. I personally don't really care if the FVD logo is there or not, but I'm assuming that can be swapped out.

Here's a pic of the wheel I ordered:

Here it is in CF:

I have the FVD CF 340...it is thicker. The FVD sticker is just that, it is glued to the leather. It does not come with the Porsche logo. I am having a custom red leather with silver Porsche crest made right now for the airhead portion. I'll post pics when it is done.
