Headlights, they try to get the Xenon lights and sell them on the black market or try rettrofitting them on thier cars, this is common on almost every Japanesse car with xenon lights but the first German car that I have heard of it happening too. All that is involved in "removing" the lights is a screw driver or a crow bar. 30 sec - 1 minutes to remove.

Sorry to hear about that Orlando. I too would be pretty upset, especialy with it parked right up front. Did they even notice or did you have to point it out to them? Does Ruths Chris do their own valet or is a valet company?

Hopefuly you get her back together by this weekend. Perhaps get the 930 checked out as a backup?

Orlando,

If it was me, I would have a little fun. It sounds like you have a good idea who is behind it. Wait a couple of weeks. Go back and apologize, tell the valet you over reacted and let bygones be bygones. Hire a PI or arrange for your own intel. Go back into the establishment and have fun. I guarantee whoever did it will bite again soon. Payback can really be fun.

Orlando,

Sorry to hear that man..... I am sure Maurice will take good care of you. His paint work is awsome. I am going to write "**** You"
"These light's are equiped with LoJack" on the back of my headlight's. Or "God is watching you"

BTW, the manager at Ruth Chris stated that the next time I was their..... dinner was on the house. Big F*&KING DEAL. And the Valet parkers were outside contractors, I called the company this morning and they said basically "too bad".

I'm rolling down that area in the middle of Feb and look for a Seal Grey C4S with no headlights. I'm keeping them in the trunk. That really sucks.

They should make them even EASIER to remove so we could put them away or take them inside with us along with our V1's. How stupid is Porsche for this design flaw!
So, is this true of Turbo lights and the 996 (pre - '02) lights?

I bet there is a way to rig up the alarm to be triggered by removal of the lights.

Sorry to hear that Orlando, some punks have no respect for anyone who has a nice car. They will get theirs one day...

Damn, is this what this world has come to? Stolen headlights IN FRONT OF the bar and Valet?

I say you take some gasolione and a book of matches to the Valet Stand!

this happened to a guy over on another board that was also recently posted here ... I think everyone there found a way to wire in their rear and head lights to the alarm system because apparently it only takes a few seconds to yank on the headlights hard enough to snap the brackets and sell the lights on ebay "slightly damaged found at garage sale" ...

It took my friend 30minutes to get his DB7 back because the valet guy drove it around the city!!!

I feel sorry for you....
