PCM1 aftermarket amp install help
PCM1 aftermarket amp install help
I was wondering who has added an amp utilizing the factory PCM1. I assume I can tap the outputs from the PCM1 to the new amp. Then I am thinking I can reuse the original wiring to the speakers from the oem amp for the new amp. I just bought a Mcintosh MC431 4x100 amp from Ebay.
I have a few questions that maybe some of you guys can help me with.
1. Does anyone have the PCM1 and OEM amp pinouts they can email me?
bkl25@hotmail.com
2. Would I still retain the digital sound package with an aftermarket amp?
3. I am thinking of mounting the amp in the front hood, what is the best way to install the amp against the wall.
Since I currently have the Bose subs(another ebay purchase) behind the seats, could I use the amp for the fronts and rears using 3 way crossovers on each set. Basically the front 2 channels would drive the door woofers, dash mids, and dash tweeters, then for the rear, the 3 way crossovers would be used for the rear mid, tweeters, and lastly the subs. Thanks for any info.
