Alright, since this thread won't die I'll further explain my point without resorting to name calling as another poster has. Gustav has been pushing these staged videos on countless high profile car sites. He has been soundly called out on most of these sites including this one.

Lets face it, when two evenly matched cars (based on power/weight ratio) face off and one beats the other by not car lengths, but freakin BUS lengths its easy to see the fix is in

Do these vids have entertainment value? Yes, but so does pro wrestling....just think of the self promoting Gustav as Vince Mc Mahon. As long as everyone realizes the non-real world aspect, no harm no foul. But previously, Gustav shoved these down throats as "real". And the knowledgable board members struck back.

Is he a good car guy? Don't know, don't care. He's just in the business of promoting his car site, pretty good site too BTW.

And it doesn't take Spielberg to put a hand held video camera in a rig and film this stuff. I could go into uptown H-town and do the same thing every weekend, but I don't have a site to promote nor do I see alot of value in the "entertainment" of staged races.

My original comment was meant for the thread starter, who doesn't understand the history of these vids.

This is utter rubbish, please reread your quote again and again out loud and until you realize this.

Since you claim you could do the same, film supercars and sportscars in the premium segment racing. Why don't you do it, i'm 100% sure that you will end up with the same results.

all i knows is that i enjoy Gustav's races and i'd love to see more. My only complaint is that there wasn't a race between the c6 Z06 and the 996 GT2 and 997 Turbo!!!! Where was that?!

But seriously, keep posting the videos Gustav, they're great.

Has anyone considered that some cars may be out of tune some days and not perform as well. In addition, identical cars can have quite different Dyno charts. I know that stock E39 M5's have as much as 30 hp differnce at the wheels, corrected for temp, humidity, etc ... So clearly performance can vary signficantly between these cars.

Even nonbiased professional mags get different numbers testing the same car a few months later and they pass it off as common.

I enjoy the M5 forum a lot.
Gustav does a great job there.
Unless there is undisputed evidence to support such claims, character assasination such as this is despicable.

That's why you should test the cars in one day.

Yea I hate it when people gather dozens upon dozens of the world's rarest cars and take them all to an airstrip to make videos and then all of the bmw owners pool their money to pay off the owners of the other exotic cars so that the bmws will win just to make them look good because we all know that gustav is so obsessed with what others think of his car.

Keep them coming Gustav
