IRL Wheel Cover Question

Check this out. Here is the Ganassi IRL car.

Look at the cf wheel covers. The front had them as well. You will also notice the energy absorption pod on the back.

Now look closely at one of the covers.

On the other side, you can see the carbon disk, but where does the cooling come from? I am really surprised.

On ovals they do not use the brakes much...so they do not need the cooling. They are looking to smooth the airflow and reduce drag.

Stupid ovals. *yawn*

Man I wish CART wasn't run by such a bunch of morons.

CART's biggest problem has always been that they do not have the sponsorship jewel...the Indy 500. Sadly sponsors care more about that than ten races at the likes of Mid-Ohio and Elkhart Lake. Cannot really blame them though.
