Invited to Puerto Rico for mini shootout .....

A friend of mine in Puerto Rico just informed me today of an interesting shoot out at the Salinas race track next Sunday. He has invited me to drive a Sportec 600 HP 996 turbo, an EVO tuned turbo with program and exhaust, a RUF tuned turbo and 2 turbos that I was involved with in tuning.

Apperently, on rumored runs that were done last week, the heavily modded Sportec and Ruf cars narrowly outran Tods tuned car and ours. Our cars, like Tods, only had ECU and muffler mods done to them. SUPPOSIDLY, there were 4 runs done that day. The owners of the RUF and Sportec cars apperently have some driving ability. I was told those cars were very close in pull away speed and top speed. Eyebrowse were raised when the 3 less modded cars were almost door to door with them.

Hell, of course I am curious to see how they all perform. Todd buddy, can't wait to drive the EVO car. More anxious to see why the RUF and Sportec cars were not that quick.

Well, airline ticket is booked for next Sundays driving event. It shall be interesting.

I don't know what level Tod calls his ECU, exhaust mod. Our ECU, exhaust mod is level 2.

If the cars had a fifty to one hundred hp difference, how much of a spead did you believe there would be?

The boys down there from what I understand, expected at MINIMUM of 2 to 3 car lengths. Hence them doing 4 runs. I guess they also look at it as why should I spend 35 to 45 plus thousand when they can spend 6 to 8 and have very fast and almost equal cars in speed area.
