Also its electronically controlled so you can adjust the ratio how ever you feel.. Also the car has a top speed STOCK 215 or so, after the limiter is taken off.

From 1989 -1999 there were 3 models of Skyline GT-R produced. The R32, R33,
and the R34. Each features the RB26DETT engine, ATTESA E-TS all wheel drive
system, and Nissan's Super HICAS four wheel steering system.
The engine is 2.6 liter, dual overhead cam, 24 valve, twin turbo charged, and
intercooled producing 276 hp @ 6800rpm, capable of handling over 600 hp without
internal modifications.

first off the 276hp rating was WAY WAY under-rated as anyone that knows anything knows about the old rule that nothing in japan was made with over 280hp.. The truth is the Skyline with intake, exhuast, boost controller and minor modding can push over 400 at the wheel...
Also the gearing and so fourth with the R34 getrag tranny has a top speed of about 212-215mph...while the R33 and R32 have about a top speed of 194.
and redline is 8k... The best made stock version is the Nismo 400R... it comes with a 400hp motor pushing a redline of 10k rpm's and does 0-60 in under 5 seconds.

We build and work on Skylines at Vivid. I think the main reason people like them is that we never had them in the US. You always want what you cant have
They are getting older. Many that are imported here are worn heavy. I agree with rob for the most part about them being old and japanese. In stock form they are slow. They run 250-300whp. They are also very heavy.
However... there is ALOT of potential with them. The RB motor is incredible. the sound is sick, they are strong, responsive and VERY heavy..
I hate the fact that the Front diff is in the engine block. A very odd design.
Stock turbos often fail. But if they are in good shape you can get 400 whp out of them like the other poster said. I did one a few months back with a Power FC Stand alone computer. This car had a port matched head and Jun 272 cams along with pistons. A 1000 hp motor with stock turbos.. It made 420 easily on pump gas.
The potential to have a super car is there if you have the money to make it happen. Parts are pricey and you will need to add ALOT of parts to make it what you dream of.

So what are the details on the buyback of your cab? I remember they weren't giving you enough for it, how did you persuade them to give you more?
