Why is the Carrera GT's C/D so horrendous?
The Carrera GT could be so much more if not for its terrible drag. i think it is close to .40:eek: Had they made it more sleek, it would have destroyed the other cars in every test. As it is, I can't see how it will compete with the Enzo? Why is the CD so high?? Certainly Porsche could have done something!

thats wierd...im not sure that number is right?? even the 996 Coupe has a better C/D
|
I believe it has to do with high speed stability, not sure though.

"...im not sure that number is right??"
.396 is correct. the car is a piece of junk :-) |
That's because the car is making a lot of downforce. Downforce=drag.
But who cars when you have all that power to compensate. It will still go over 200... |
I was going to buy one, but have decided to stick with my '78 Pinto Wagon.

Originally posted by LSM No, no, you are misreading what I am saying. I love the CGT, just wondering why the c/d was so high. Lou the bottom line is that numbers don't mean anything unless you know how to interpret them correctly. |
