Yes Chad... We had another set of pistons but Todd did not like them...
Liek you said the other day... things change so much on a project like this that with limited funds and time against you... it's sometimes hard to make the bets decision.... I wish I had at least a 3.8lt. but that would be another XXX in cash... so we went with what we had...
Those I think are APR head studs...

As far as safety, I think I will take her up to 8K when I have to... I know Alex beats the hell out of his car and still looks good

There are some differences between the two motors. One has GT3 radius tappets the other 996tt tappets. One has a vario lift and timing, the other solid lift and vario timing, One has GT3 heads, the other turbo heads that were ported and valved to GT3 spec's (or larger). One has turbo cam housings , the other has GT3 cam housings. Your motor as far as the heads, valve train, etc. was designed to live at 8500 rpm's.
Not sure about what you vs VR used as far as springs, retainers and valve material.

We went with the 102 mm pistons, I understand they add a liitle more torque. We'll see. Great choice on the heads studs. Can you tell us which pistons you originally chose?

Mark, I'm so glad to see you getting your car back. I can't wait for some on-road reports. You're going to have a blast figuring out what that beast will do! Congratulations to Todd & Cynthia @ Protomotive for their innovation and success at putting together another another world class machine. It's amazing the efficiency they can squeeze out of a car. Your power level at 1.5 bar is unreal. Enjoy!
Mike, Stephen, ef996tt... thank you
