Scott your right and its quite crazy, my RWD turbo which isnt anywhere near the power of yours, but still FAST and powerfull doesnt have any issues in this upper 30 degree weather either, these cars are truely amazing!

I remember Alex said that he was going to race a Veyron at either Gumball -USA leg or Player's Run (last summer), not sure if that ever happened though....

 

Yes I am sure there are lots of tuned cars that could "walk" a Veryron, but I seriously doubt they will have the driveability. The Veryon is a GT car. It also happens to handle. Even though it weighs alot, testers have said its quite nimble. Looking at those videos of tuned Supras, etc... they don't look like they will be able to handle. They look set up to go in a straight line only. I could be wrong, and I am not trying to put anyones rides down, but lets all give credit where credit is due. The Veyron is amazing. Its fast, comfortable... and because of its weight, stable at high speeds. I haven't driven one, but this is what I have heard.

I drove my friends 996 Turbo on the autobahn. We redlined the car in 6th, and it did 320 kmh (200 mph). It was SCARY!!!! Front end felt really light.

No matter, everyone on here loves cars, and its great to have this ability to be able to discuss our passions.

 

I am GAME anytime....In fact a friend in Dubai got his Veyron four months ago and he definitely wants to run on the next Gumball for some high $$$,$$$.$$....

There where no Veyrons on the Gumball ....however I did race as ENZO from 80mph on....Birdman and I put BUUUSSSSLLEENNGGHHTTS on him by the time we hit 210mph...

You are correct....a stock 996tt is no fun at that high speed...I had the Veyron up to 180mph and she was rock solid stable...felt like 90mph...the car drives like a DB9 on some serious STEROIDS!! Amazing...something that is to be expected from a seven figure car....If you read my Veyron thread above, I have some good descriptions of the vehicle....

VRAlexander - You are a lucky man. I would love to drive a Veyron, much less at speed... though getting there requires just a stretch of road, and a few seconds. I will look for your post with the details. Very interesting.

Oh and the Turbo in Germany had 500bhp... I know... its nothing compared to a lot of the cars here.. but still quick.
