Painting stock wheels

Has anyone done this? What is the cost? Better than powdercoating?

Anyone have pics of wheels that have been painted or powdercoated? I am thinking of doing the OEM twists a gunmetal color. I think it would look a lot better than the silver on a black car.

I've had two sets of wheels repainted, and to say the least, the results weren't favorable. Pricing seems to vary, i've seen anywhere from $75-$200 per wheel.

I think iLLM3 had his wheels powdercoated, maybe he can chime in. Stick to the powdercoat man!

hope this helped.

Wow $500 for all 4 is cheap. Guys on Maui wanted $300 per wheel. I guess that happens when you have no competion. I went with painting wheels so my vote is paint.

You don't want to powdercoat your wheels, you won't be able to see if they have or are cracking, stick with the painting

Wow, that looks great...I was considering powdercoating my stockers black with a red pinstripe around the lip...but the gunmetal looks dead sexy!

I drive my car all winter and Im not so sure how well painting will hold up...
