you'd actually be suprised how well an f-body can handle if the suspension is worked over properly

So I actually have a guy with a 10 sec 1/4 camaro z28 challange me to run for best time at the autobahn in IL. His comment was he is going to make me look bad getting beat by a car that was meant for the straights.
A lot of people talk **** on the forums but when it comes down to actually racing the internet badass disappears. Your car on the street would beat the vast majority of fbodies out there and quite a few other cars.

Well there are many things wrong with the mullet. But more importantly the mixture of all three...Leppard, Mullets, and a Camaro. It has the unsavory scent of Joe Dirt...

You want to feel old, turn on VH1 some night when they have shows about the 80's. Sad to say that I sat through a whole show one night. I think that it was "Hair bands of the 80's" night. Grown men in make-up and skin tight pants....and we all wanted to be like them. Wow. How things change.
I had 3 f-bodies of the Pontiac family. All fast cars in their own way but very heavy and sluggish feeling compared to this 996 that I have now.
If the dude knows how to drive and drive well and if he put 10-20 grand into the car to make it work well, I would say that you would have your hands full with beating him. Having a ton of power means nothing if you can't control it. The f-body is nose heavy and tends to plow.

All this talk of mullets almost made me forget to mention that we are running six cylinders with approximately 220 cubic inches.

I like the idea of the other guy pulling off two plug wires

I wouldnt "race" any fool on a street especially without helmets and HANS devices, your life is worth more (opps sorry I'm a trauma surgeon so no flaming)
The Autobahn in IL is a country club (instead of a golf course, they have full road course)

But yes, F-bods, like Hotrod said, if tuned properly can be a handful even for you porsche boys. I'll be interested to see how this all pans out
