I do everything that is possible without some special P-Car tool. Previous P-Cars I have rebuilt engine, transmission, frontend, refurb'ed interior and exterior. I bought the Durametric Pro so I can trouble shoot. I have the OEM Manuals for Parts and Service on CD. Total Gear Head here

It is my personal opinion, a Pcar owner is not getting his/her monies worth for a pencil
whipping 30,000k service. 2500usd for a mere oil change ( oh dont forget everything is fine, see u at 60k).

I do everything I can that doesn't require Porsche special tools. I'm seriously tempted to do my own clutch swap, but I don't have room in my micro Cali garage for a lift, so that will likely get farmed out. I have learned through decades of experience to be very leery of guys who make a profit from *repairing* cars. OTOH, I've had generally good experience with race car fab shops.

I used to change oil on my 2002 Turbo. It was easy but you have to be ready for lots of hot oil to come out very fast and it seemed now matter where I place the oil pan the oil would shoot all over the place. Still, it seemed to connect me to the car (as well as putting oil stains on my garage floor). I sold the car but still have the repair manual.
