Please do it!!
Jean, what was Hans Peter able to extract for an elapsed time?
Vicious,
how is it "hangin"?
Markski,
make sure someone posts this tire shreddding run of 123 mph!!

TUV is like our smog tests.... maybe abit more stringent.... but I really dont see the difference... metal is metal... good welds are good welds... a turbo is a turbo.... an engine build is an engine build... So whats the big deal with TUV? I know that that's the German's Excuse... that we don't have to go thru TUV...

So what if he has TUV approval. Big whooptie doo.
Markski can drive on the autobahn and he doesnt need their approval, he has our approval.

The dude on rennteam is a looser (as are a few others- whats with that admin?), and those folks seemed to feel that TUV approval and 'being able to drive on the autobahn all day' are somehow a major milestone for performance-
I for one would rather have the faster car as opposed to the TUV sticker! (Hence the humor in my comment.)
(I deal with TUV on a regular basis, so I am quite unimpressed. It is WAY overrated.)
They want to feel secure by badmouthing Markski's car, whatever. Performance talks,....

Was that video filmed in Mexico too?
As I said I am not sure it is the same car, so I need confirmation, I was maybe too quick in posting.
Woodster, HP Lieb (RUF's test driver) had the fastest lap time (2:15s), in the RT12, among about 40 other cars/supercars.Trap speed for HP Lieb was 134mph in the RT12.

It is not about the autobahn, it is about having a car that can last 100k miles and trap 134mph all day long while being driven daily with regular Porsche service maintenance schedule.
An RT12 for instance is a wonderful car, albeit certainly not the fastest. Performance talks as you said, but the quartermile is not where the performance benchmark ends, or starts.
Finally, I might not agree with the guy who took a ****** at Markski's achievement without further research, but that does not mean I would disqualify an entire continent's tuning philosophy, and even less a forum or its participants and moderators, who , do some research, are very knowledgeable and stand up people.

as far as TUV... I figure I can keep my car at low boost and still have 700 rwhp and Im sure it will last XXX miles....
After all, Jean is an example of American tuning.... 3.8 L 993tt protomotive monster...
