Porsche Hard Rubber Motor Mounts

Had these installed today by my official Porsche dealer; not obviously as scary as RS mounts (Big Bad Ben sent his back!) and cabin noise is barely changed, everything just feels a bit tighter and with V-Max acceleration the front of the car doesn't lift as much, nice relatively cheap mod

I've had it on two of my cars and loved it.

Cool. What's the difference beween these and the RS ones?

And if you don't mind my asking, what did the dealer charge you total?

Thinking about this as well, although I may do it myself. How many mounts are there in total, and how difficult are they to work on?

Thanks!

2 mounts. Extremely easy DIY. Nice mod.

I am going to them (RS) for this reason....On the track in long sweepers with the car under load near redline it is very difficult to shift into third from second. I know tranny is cable shifted but the amount of drive train flex feels like it makes it hard to shift!! Hoping these mounts help!!

Tom

Nice that you go with the Rs one, i feel its no ide to change if i don`t do the rs ones

Like MK asked, are these the same as the ones that Gert Carnewal includes with his X-73 suspension package?
http://www.carnewal-europe.com/main.htm

Are these a different spec that the "RS" model?

RCH Jan 23, 2007 11:51 PM

Carnewal has both the Hard rubber mounts and the RS ones, mine are the hard rubber ones

The ones that Richard has are the same mounts that come with the X73 Factory Coilovers.

what's the thoughts on the transmission mount??

I'm a bit new to this... why are people changing this and what are the benefits?

I had the hard rubber mounts (X73) installed by Tom at Lucent. Tightened up the car a bit. Only downside is the added vibration.

The vibration is an upside for me...

I also like the added vibration. People who like their car more GT, might view the additional vibration as a downside?
