? for those in states with E check

Got an email that I have to have the emissions checked on my 02TT. In Ohio, there is a new test, OBDII which reads the computer to gather the emissions history. Website says this will be done if the computer can be accessed. Has anyone had this done? The website goes on to say that if this can't be found then a regular exhaust test will be performed. I am not that excited to have them do this. Anyone?

Texas tests cars on the dyno at the yearly inspection. 4 wheel drive cars are exempt. Instead they read for ODBII error codes. I don't remember if they checked idle emissions. A modified car shouldn't have any issues unless maybe the injector size has been changed and the idle mixture is way off. I think you can buy a tester to reset error codes for under $200.
