Value of X50? Searching for the right car.

I didn't see a clear cut answer to this one, so I hope I didn't miss it in the archives.

As I am looking for a 996TT, I'm wondering if waiting for the perfect X50 is worth while or should I settle for the perfect non-X50? What value would you all think the price difference should be between the two?

If two cars are identical in every way, what is the present value of X50 for '02, '03? Is there a break point where I should upgrade or is X50 more cost effective?

What are your thoughts and thanks for your help?
Rich

Are you looking to modify? If you are not modifying, the regular has better throttle response and the X50 has better highway power and a little more lag.

If you are modifying, and want over 500HP, the X50 is the way to go IMO. Expect to pay an extra 3-5K, you will need an 02 or better.

JWC is infamous around these parts
If you are going to mod, hold out for the X50. Price should be 2-4K higher for the X50. With the X50 you get larger turbo's and IC's + more power than stock K18 (non X50). It will cost less money to get you into the 500-600 hp range with the X50 as a platform. Thats what I did and I couldn't be happier. Good luck in your quest.
