(Another) new member saying Hi...
Greetings!
Just joined, now that I am searching for a 996 TT X50. I've been reading and lurking for a few weeks, trying to get my arms around all the issues.
A few of you may recognize the name from M5Board... E39M5 owner for a few years. That would remain the DD, the 996 will be just for fun. (Ah, they always say that at first, no?) Different cars for different tasks...
This looks to be another great community and I am looking forward to learning a lot, asking a few questions, and maybe someday returning the favors by adding to the discussion.
Regards
Adam

Welcome to the 6.
Nice to see so many new faces! Good luck finding an X50... I know of a really nice yellow 996TT (03) if you're interested and it's local

welcome aboard. why an X50? If you are planning to mod the car, you will save money by modding a stock TT. I have an '03 X50. If i was to do again, i think I would try to find a low mile GT2. I've seen the prices very reasonable good luck

Thanks all to the greetings...
It is interesting (and a bit daunting) to find your way around a new marque, as well as navigate a new community. Actually quite a bit of work!
Could you elaborate on this? I'd heard that the X50 was a better platform for mods, given that it has the larger turbo and IC. Or, is it that if one is *really* modding, ie K24/gt30, GT700, GT800, then why pay for the K24 to begin with?
Thanks guys...
