Try cleaning the post as stated above. Extend the spoiler all the way, with someone lifting the sagging side as you push the dash switch. Clean the posts with WD-40 and wipe dry. Then lubricate with a slicone spray. Wipe off the excess. If that doesn't work, one of your rams has a leak. If the pump motor was bad, it wouldn't move at all, so that is not your problem.

If one ram is going bad and losing power versus the other they will recede at differing rates causing skew and potential binding problems. Cold weather makes that worse. I am not sure but I think these are 2 way rams meaning power is used for up and down, so the down circuit could be losing power to one ram causing the bind. That could be simple fluid leak at a fitting.

Good luck and let us know how you fix it.
The rams are hydraulic with no direct electrical control. The pump motor is electric and pumps fluid to each ram. It is located between the rams. There is an electronic microswitch on the outside of the right ram. The pump switch reverses polarity to the pump motor in order to raise or lower the rams.

I finally fixed it today , I drove it over to a friend of mines house we looked at it over and over again and realized that the motor and everything was fine and it had to be sumthing else. Sprayed a lil WD-40 on it and let it sit for 5 minutes and viola!!! Good as new!! I'm so happy now I feel alot better thanks for all the advice and suggestions guys, you are the best!!!

I guess when it gets stuck u just need a little lube to slide it right in there haha Have a great day guys and enjoy the superbowl!!!

We're all glad, including a possible wife/girlfriend, that you can get it up, and keep it up.

Just lube it up and giv it sum viagra and it'll be fine!!!

Hopefully its not serious on your car and is something like a little WD-40 that'll take care of the job. It just been so cold out lately I'm gonna give the TT a rest for a while I feel bad exposing her to these cruel weather conditions.

BTW your rims are sickkkk I'm sure someone will buy them, and I'm really tempted to take those seats off your hands but I'm so poor lol
