Somebody with this exhaust system please give us some feedback. It looks great and I like the price.

Dan- how does/will this exhaust perform with additional mods (ECU flash/upgrade turbo/etc)? I just picked up an '01 turbo and want to get to Stage 2ish mod but honestly want a better sounding exhaust more than the power from ECU flash right now.

You will save about 20+ lbs off the rear of the car. Our exhaust has a tame tone to it so may not give you that performance of straight pipes, but will not rattle your ears in the car. With the flash the less restrictive exhaust will increase power gains on the mid to top RPM. Add our intake for torque increase and you are rockin. Call me and I will put together a sweet package for you today

Can any users report on this product? Mainly concerned w/Drone, overall noise levels and any seat of the pants power improvemnets...as well as any low rpm loss of torque. I've had poor success w/any replacement mufflers I've tried (Tried a Tubi on my Cayenne Turbo and a lot of the low end power disappeared- I returned it to the dealer and back to stock- ahhh, much better-same thing on my X5 4.8is I had before the CTT)

This exhaust was made with the "drone" issue in mind in that 2200RPM to 2800RPM area. Anytime you have a quieter sounding exhaust, you also make a little less power as the exhaust will be a bit more "muffler" oriented and less straight through. Your X5 and Cayenne were different engines and sounds where the 996TT will be different. Here are 2 sound clips to view.

I am finishing the K24/18G car today/tomorrow with external wastegates and our AP exhaust. Will have video towards end of the week.

TXGold- The pipe connections and tips look very different.

It is nice to see 321 stainless used for a change. It is more expensive than 304 but so much more heat resistant. Good job Vivid.

Can you provide more info about the cats?

100 cell cats.

Alot of companies exhausts are made in China or Taiwan. Alot of products are made there too. What matters is the design. Material is material. If you get an off the shelf exhaust then it is what it is. But when you give them specifications on how to make it, test it, revise, and produce it, all you are is paying for less expensive labor but the volumes are much higher.

I have this exhaust on my car. Sounds sweet...not annoyingly loud, but loud enough to let people know you're coming. I don't know the exact power gains since I haven't dynoed my car, but it works just fine with my Proto K24/18G setup. Overall, a very good product at a great price.
