what model year did the tt start coming with auto dimming side view mirrors?

is it possible to retrofit on an 01?

I have an 01 with the auto dimming rear view mirror, I also believe the drivers side mirror is auto dimming as well.

Don't know about 01, but on my car when you push the dim button on the rearview mirror, the side mirror dims
