OT: re Grand Am race at PIR April 8-10
Don't know if any 6 speeders are planning to attend. But, the Grand Am race looks to be pretty interesting this year with the BMWCCA providing one of the support races. If anyone is going, shoot me a PM and we can arrange to hook up. Looks like I will be pitted with the other BMW racers. But, P-car folks I am sure are welcome.
As you may know, the Roadrunner Chapter has secured a support race to be run in connection with the Grand Am events scheduled for April 8-10, 2004 at Phoenix International Raceway. Attached are copies of the entry form and a preliminary schedule. As you can see on the schedule, we are planning to hold two practice sessions on Thursday, April 8th, as well as a practice session, a qualifying session and a race on Friday, April 9th, and a race on Saturday, April 10th. The race on Saturday will be in support of the Rolex series race scheduled for later than evening.
BMWCCA's call to racers follows:

It is our goal to assemble the largest group of the best racers on the West Coast at this event. We believe that participation in the Grand Am weekend represents a major step forward for BMW CCA racing, especially when you consider that the PTG M3s, Turner Motorsports 330is and TC Kline’s Z4s (the three major BMW race tuners) will be participating in this event. In addition, for spectator purposes, we will have a BMW car corral available. This corral will be located extremely close to the BMW pit area, which should make for great interaction. We believe this will be one event you won’t want to miss.
