Yes the stock car is fast but many of us get used to that speed very quickly. I am actually use to my 700 hp car but I don't want to go any farther because to get more power I would need bigger turbo's which have more lag. I am very happy with my GT700 because it is reliable, little lag and awesome power.

My advice keep your car stock, don't go to any 6 speed meets and never log onto this site again!

I love it! Well said buddy!!

If I had done those things my car would probably still be stock!
Thanks for the quick reply. Wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not - trouble with email. I know my car will not stay stock, but before I do anything serious to it I'd like to get to know the car better - via putting a good amount of miles on the clock. And I'd like to ask more knowledgable people than I about recommended upgrades before I pull the trigger.

Thanks and hope I didn't offend in any way.

Cute, I like it! Well, years ago when I was much younger and virtually bulletproof I used to roadrace motorcycles.

After throwing a small displacement (250cc) motorcycle that weighed about what I did around the Daytona tri-ovals at speeds over 160mph I have never found a car that could top the thrill.

So now I am ok driving a car with "only" 415 hp. I know at some time I will want to warm it up, but I want a car that is dependable and not tempermental as a regular decent weather driver.

So YNOTFAST is good for now, perhaps after putting a couple thousand miles on the car I will prefer YNOTFASTER.

Thanks.

Buzz

By the way, unless you're looking for sarcastic replies, then maybe you shouldn't post comments like this:

Right off the bat, I took comment that to be extremely sarcastic.
Point well taken. No offense meant, so sorry if I offended anyone.

This video will tell you why.
It's a modified 996TT vs. a stock 997TT

I am out here trying to learn more about my car, which was a good sized investment. And there might be a lot of good reasons to mod. Or it could just be for the fun of additional speed.
Lol, the TT is not an investment, its a liability

Your link is screwy. Too many http:// in the link.

Here's a good link to it.

Mod your car because modded is always better. Even little things like a short shift kit can make a huge difference in driving enjoyment.

Vey impressive. Was the camera car a stock 996TT, and what was done to the one that ran away from it? FAST!

Cool video. Thanks.

The camera car was definately a 997 with Sport Chrono but I couldn't tell if it was a Turbo. If a 997TT loses to it, that is fast.

I'm an acceleration junkie, and the 996tt in stock trim just doesn't do much for me.
