Was that a bit extreeme? Perhaps it was, but someone needs to stop the nut-licking that goes on around here.
Funny, one of my good friends has entered the Pcar world so I've become more aware of it....he introduced me to this forum and I've learned a great deal about your cars here. Great cars, beautiful, certainly great tools for many uses. It's just sad that most have them for the wrong reasons...

....is this for real????
You're "Check out how cool my watch is / what watch matches my new GT2 / what watch should I get to show off how shallow I am because my CGT and Turbo just don't give me any blood flow in my loins anymore" forum is 10 TIMES the size of your Track and Autocross forum????
10 Times the size???? Are you feeling ashamed yet?
Some of you seem to be real good guys, who know why their cars were built and use them the way they were intended. I trust you won't take offense at my post.
The rest are clowns. Clowns. And you should be ashamed...watches...tisk, tisk...
Yes, VRA, please send us a video like the CGT in BH...that was some real talented driving...BRAVO!!!!
We can't wait...
Good day,
Tom

I would love to see a Vette that runs under 10sec in the 1/4 go from the drag strip to the road course like a Porsche could do it. The Vette would be a complete fish out of water doing something like that.
Also, before you say something stupid like, "All you Porsche owners are the same", I own both and love both, but they are different animals.

You taking this personal? Do you think I was addressing you? My friend, I never said anything like "all you Pcar owners are the same"...I wouldn't say that as I know it's not true. My mechanic has a 930 and a 993TT and my good friend, who posts here, is currently building a VERY fast 996TT...and they are not pompous ******bags who would take offense at my post.
Yes, please tell me about the mystical 9second pcar that can be driven well on the roadcourse...please...and then please tell me why the Vette with similar abilities is not adept at the roadcourse, that I'm dying to hear from you? Please? Why... is it the suspension geometry? Weight distribution? Roll-center? CG? Please, I must know....
And while you're at it, please tell me the story about all those Pcars that beat up on the Vettes on the roadcourse...although I bet you'll need to go into the FICTION section of your library to find that one...
But what I really want to hear about is how "you" or the "we" that you speak of, in your above post, are going to take my Magnacharged Z06 and wipe the floor with it...on the roadcourse that is...that I really want to know about!
And then please tell me how it's the cars that make the difference...not the driving. I will tell YOU, my friend, that theose Pcar notches on my supercharger belt are not from dragracing but from the autox course and roadcourse. IMHO, dragracing and roll-on racing are for those that have little to no skill and they need to rely on their power to be able to feed their egos.
Yes, if YOU would..please tell me how that floor wiping would happen, and then perhaps when and where...???
RTV12,
There is no point...I didn't bring up those cars. What's your point?
This post is filled, as expected on a "pcar-specific" forum, with Vette and Vette-owner bashing. I don't much care for it, but it doesn't ruffle my shorts much. What prompted me to write my post was the presence of uneducated opinion, arrogance, and ego fed by nut-licking.
The different stereotypes of car owners...is funny, and somewhat true at times. You've all heard the difference between the porcupine and a Pcar?...yeah, the ****** are on the inside of the Pcars....
Then we have the Vette stereotypes of old men with their gold chains and open shirts, trying to still be cool....I guess this is somewhat true with TBLACKJ's own personal admittance of
"Another Z06 vs Porsche thread. Another chance for me to unbutton my shirt a little bit more and pull my gold chains out of the closet.
"Just make sure you leave on your watch...the one you talk about more than your autoxing or trackdays.
One may wonder why there are certain stereotypes...re-read this thread and you'll know why.
Clowns.... sorry to keep you from your nut-licking and political discussions.
Now where's that video that's going to be sent to the VetteForum?...We're still waiting.

I'm not saying the Vette is not a competent road course car. It is my car of choice when I go to a road course. I love my Z06 at the track and would put it up against any Porsche and know that I could hang with if not outrun any car out there. Not my point.
If you had a competition and had two events, a 1/4mile and a road course. You had to set the cars up for both events and you could not touch them in between events. My money would be on the Porsche for both events. They just do incredible things.
I didn't take anything you said personally you little troll. I just think you are an asshat for coming over to a mainly Porsche owner board and coming out with a first post like that. Do you like confrontation? Do you think you are cool for being able to start trouble with a post like that? It's just looking for a fight and honestly it's just immature. Now go back to doing your homework and IM'ing your buddies about the Algebra test tomorrow...

I've seen Vettes set up to run sub 10 second 1/4 miles and they are not road course friendly. Soft suspension, slicks on the back, *** ends up in the air... not exactly condusive to turning. The Porsche's that are running 10 second 1/4's are on street tires and basically stock suspensions.-Complete BS and you should know this. Both cars suffer from wheel hop, but the Pcars usually worse. My car will run low 11s and it's set-up for roadcourse...
