There's no real modding plans...just once you start then it just snow *****. Mainly due to the fact that every mod is somehow intertwined to make the car perform even better. Best recommendation is DON'T cut corners (costs more to upgrade later).
doccao:
Right on with "DON'T cut corners" with cars like this It's always much better to wait until you can afford (justify) the best quality mods. After all, it only is painfull once when you pay the price, but you get to enjoy the upgrades for a long, long time. - Buzz

From what I have been reading and following by is, start with your exhaust, programming, diverter valves and short throw shifter. After that, it all gets expensive. Your only limiting factor after those initial upgrades will be if you choose a tuner that doesnt work with the type of programming you had done. So, maybe you wait on the programming until you decide who you will use to make the jump into new turbos, innercoolers, etc.
There are so many options, just take your time with each selection.

It is the other 5-9% that either drag race or track the car. For the drag racers it is the hardest. They need the total upgrade plan, ie massive HP and suspension to control it and also have to deal with launch and clutch issues.
That last 1% I reserve for the true moddaholics and guys who just love to see how far they can push the envelop and the car and performance upgrades of all kinds are a true passion and hobby for the sake of hobby. This group although overlaps with some of the others may be the most important. Because it is their research, trial and error that end in proven results that trickle down to the rest of us. We then can turn to them when we want a badass upgrade that has actually been proven. These guys take the most risks and spend the most money and we benefit the most from their tireless effort and experience, which on this board they are willing to share. Imagine all the NASCAR guys putting in all that effort and money and R+D and then posting it on a web board to share!!! It just wont happen.
That's why I get mad when other forums make fun of some of the performance stuff on this board. They obviouly do not realize the true value it is to the rest of us!!! Dumbasses!!
The road racers (myself included) the above changes are needed then the brakes and suspension need upgraded. Really the difference on the track is noticed more with lighter cars, bigger brakes, and better suspension. The leap from 500 to 600hp on the track is really not necessary for most.
Now when you contemplate the above uses of the car and what it is capable of becoming you realize the TREMENDOUS potential the stock car posseses and why we all use it as our starting point. Truely an amazing vehicle and cheers to all of you on this forum for unlocking this cars potential in you own individual ways!!
