I'm just crossing my fingers that we don't get rained out on our track day on the 3rd. Yesterday it said it was supposed to rain that day, today it says it's supposed to be sunny. I really hope it doesn't change again.

congrats on the upgrade!

Scott,
I believe it was you who gave me a ride in your car after a dyno pull at dyno inc. I'm Dave, and had the silver audi on the dyno that day. That was my first ride in any porsche and it felt VERY fast! I ran 12.5@113 in my car and it feels like a honda civic compared to yours that day. I can only imagine how fast your car is after the upgrades. Thanks for the ride, as I'm sure you get tired of everyone asking for one.. Will you be able to maintain traction or is that thing going to spin the tires all through 1st/2nd gear? :D

You may want to try another dyno. From what I understand, quite a few rwd guys compained about that particular mustang dyno not being accurate. Maybe the operators were still getting familiar with it at that time..

Anyway, congrats on the upgrades. You must be going crazy waiting to run it in the 1/4 mile.:)

Hi Dave,

I do remember you.:) Congrats on the 12.5 in your car, brother. That's certainly nothing to scoff at.

Traction will be an issue....but I'm trying to use the best rubber I can to mitigate the problem as much as possible. I have some very sticky R-compounds I'm going to try, and of course, I still have drag radials.

Ya, Dyno inc. definitely had some issues that day. Thier dyno was around 40-50 HP off from everyone else's. I heard that they've made some adjustments since I was there. But...there are plenty of dynos to choose from..and of course the "big, black dyno" (AKA the Drag Strip) is really the only one that matters .;)

Take care.

Scott

Scott - How exciting! I can't wait until you start posting timeslips. Given how well you did with your last set up, this new rig should be quite devastating! Good luck and congrats!

The engine is in. Just need to finish up fabbing some items and then on to break-in and tuning. My new brakes are in as well:

Scott, your P car is giving a new meaning to the term "monster".
Your ride is going to be the "Mother of all Porsche TT's".
Cant wait to see the numbers you pull. Enjoy it in good health.

Thanks very much, Bajo. I really appreciate the kind words. But I think Markski and CJV will have something to say about that.:D

Hey scott... looking sweet but have Todd change out that yellow-looking coolant expansion tank before he buttons things up. Yours is an 01 and by now they are all cracked/leaking slightly from the bottom:)
