I just changed the battery on the Turbo. The input for the radio code came on, so I decided to drive to the local Porsche dealership to get the code. After 15 minutes of waiting around the service area, I finally got to talk to an advisor. I told him that I needed the radio code because I just change the battery. He told me that he would have to e-mail Porsche for the code and it takes two days for a response. He was only willing to do it at my next service appointment. He then turned around and played around with a new 2007 Porsche GT3 RS (which was real nice). Is the e-mail a new procedure? I thought they could pull it up on the computer.

 

IMO the guy you ran in to is a real di**. I had my radio and NAV code within 5 minutes of getting on the phone with a service guy at my local dealership. Once I proved to him I was indeed the owner he punched the VIN in the computer and gave me the codes. He then faxed me the page with the codes on it for future reference.

 

So the way to get the radio code has not change. Which Porsche dealership in SoCal is customer frendly?

 

I don't have a bunch of experience with dealers in that area. However, my last P-car required some investigative work in that area of the world and 2 dealerships went out of their way to help me and maybe they can help you.
