Fanman is infamous around these parts
I have seen both good times and bad times for the Ford GT. In one test it thouroughly whipped up on the GT3 & 360 CS getting an mid 11 sec. 1/4 mi. justifying those numbers, on the other test it ran neck & neck with the Viper (500 hp at the crank, unless they are deeply underrating power too).

american companies do have a long history of severly underrating their muscle car powerplants.

One bad mother

Either way that will be one bad performance car. Maybe it's not really fair to compare a 3.6 liter to a 5.4 liter, but then again that won't mean much at the stoplight will it?

That "ford" moniker still tends to haunt me with reliability and fit and finish nightmares.

I still dream of a 996 turbo for now. Maybe next year, when I am situated enough to buy one, and the kids are a little older, I will feel differently.

That number seems to be high, perhaps they are uncorrected. Vipers usally put down 445hp/485tq at the wheels SAE(stock). The reason why the viper may hang with the GT is because the viper has better, wider tires in the rear. 335 wide michilins compared to 315 wide goodyears.

11.3 @ 125, that's pretty good for your HP. You using cheater slicks or drag radials?

Best I've run yet is 11.1 and then a few weeks later my trap speed was 127.8 but then again that was on road race tires with 2.5 -ive camber and I couldn't get traction for crapo...

Dammit I hate drag racing. So many excuses eh
