I had the same problem, but with the right tool it becomes a very easy job - "Try a 1/4" drive 8mm deep socket. Loosen both nuts and the emblem will pull up from the hood. Be careful not to lose the nuts behind the beam support."

the "easiest" way is to drive to the dealer. The dealer here swapped it out and didn't charge.

the guy putting on my clear 3M shield lost the nut in the hood beam. I don't hear it rattle but it bugs the crap out of me knowing there is a loose nut in the bonnet. Any hints on how to get it out?

how bout a 993 conversion hood?

One other hint. Heat the rubber gasket in hot water to make it more pliable. It will then fit evenly under the crest while you are mounting it.

thanks guys... easy job till a nut fell behind the beam a telescoping mag got it out right away ..

silver looks better
