Congrats on time regardless- it is going to live up to your expectations.

Mark,
Congratulations on the best documented 996TT ever ("Worlds Fastest").
Sorry to hear about the axles, what a pain in the A**!!!
It is quite the new age of 996TT performance with a 10.11
and being VERY disappointed with this E.T. !!!! WoW.
It is cool because everyone is rooting for you and that says alot about
you and your approach to things.
Neat, Neat stuff!
Tomorrow is another day, as they say.

Congrads Mark... I hope you can make it to Texas... next week starts SUPRA NATIONALS... there will be several 1000 vipers, several 1000 plus supras, several 1000 hp vetts just to name a few?? I would love to see some 1000 hp Porsche cars here!!!!!!!!! I would be nice to see EVOMS bring there monster, you and Alex bring your monsters!!! We need a strong showing but all I have is a GT700........ Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations Mark. However, as I said in the other thread, those very impressive numbers are well below the capability of your car. I am confident that you will produce a 9.xx run @ over 145 very soon.

I was snapping axles all day long on my old AWD. Put in solid bushings in the rear suspension, only broke 1 the rest of the season. It was breaking shafts due to suspension deflection. Congrat's on the time, that thing is moving.
What a fantastic time for 996TT drag racing! Really impressed with the trap speed and 10.1 with a soft launch means some single digit passes can only be a little bit more engineering away!
Congratulations on being the quickest and fastest 996 turbo car on the board!

Daaaaaaaaaaaaam Markski, that's LOONEY fast. CONGRATS DUDE!
(give John Shepherd or David Buschur a call if you want to get in contact with some of the best axle guys....)
Good run, the 9's are looking to be within reach. Did you have the modified axles from The Drive Shaft Shop installed ? If so, you might want to see if they would back their term of just plain indestructible.
"This is the new set of level 5 axles from DSS; we have developed this Extreme set of axles starting with an all new Outer C.V. flange that is made from a High grade Chromoly called 300M. This is the strongest material you can make drive train parts and what we normally make things out for Extreme use. We have upgraded the center from smaller stock 28 spline to a Mega 36 spline bar (also made from 300M). Then we also changed the C.V's themselves to our exclusive Carbo Ausse tempered Cage and race system that is just plain indestructible. This set of axle comes completely ready to bolt in and equipped with the ABS exciter ring. Price is for (2) complete axles. This is the first of many more Porsche axles we will be producing, please contact us if you dont see what you are looking for."
I beleive that Todd at Protomotive know's them well since he is the Porsche axle distributor for them.
Good luck with the 9 second hunt.

I have all solid subframe mounts... including all upper and lower control arms... so we dont have wheel hop... something else is breaking these axles... probably a design defect. We actually ran all three runs on stock axles... then those popped too. we knew it was going to happen....
thanks for the support.
