how to spot the X50 package?

how can you visually determine if a 996tt is equipped with the X50 package?

what would I be looking for on the intercoolers? I purchased the vehicle already and the dealer doesnt know if its X50 or not (not a porsche dealership). The price was assuming its not X50, but thought I'd double check...maybe I'll be in for a nice surprise.

Ask a Porsche dealer to pull a copy of the original invoice.

I believe that the cooling "fins" of the intercoolers on X50s extend about 1/4 further than non-X50s. The non-X50 intercoolers are "smooth."

True. Many 996TT have the X50 option that are not the S model. My pic was not implying that the X50 option only came on the S.

the ceramic's brakes kit comes along with the S badge if it was one of the limited production Turbo S cars.

a x50 should pull about .9 bars of boost in 3rd and 4th gear.... a non x50 will do .7 bars....
look underneath the rear intercooler outlet and see if the fins are flush with the rest of the IC.... if the stick out a little then its a X50...

There is a small white sticker under hood (near the latch) that specifies options. It should say X50 if it is.

Turbos S was a limited 05 production run that was essentially X50 with ceramic brakes. Right?
