Vehicle Description
2001 996 TT/GT2, 2 wheel drive homoligation for SCCA Pro World Challenge GT Class, SCCA B class, PCA-GT1 class, NASA Super Unlimited class and maybe POC. Weight 2760 Lbs. w/o Driver.
The car was purchased in ’02 with 3000 miles. As my street car I placed 20,000 miles on the it.
In 2004 the car was built to World Challenge Specs. The work was performed by a Porsche Master Mechanic and SCCA & PCA racer John Gladwill.
The car was raced 7 races in 2005 World Challenge GT and 3 races in 2006.
Chassis
Frame has been seam welded, a new cage installed, and the entire body and frame was bead blasted to remove all undercoating, all done by Kinetic Motorsports.
Full solid mounts throughout the car (engine, chassis and suspension).
Suspension:
Moton 4 way shocks on all 4 corners. Hypercoil and Eibach springs (10 sets various rates) w/helper springs and hydraulic spring perches. RSR wheel carriers throughout. RSR Subframes, New Wheel bearings all around, 1 race on new axles, RSR control arms, H&R adjustable sway bars, solid mounts and camber plates.
Engine:
Stock 996 GT2 block, heads, internals ($20k new, 3 races), GT2 K24 Turbos, GT2 intercoolers, Modified intake –heated coated w/larger turbo intake tubing, Aftermarket power intake plenum, 75mm Throttle body, 9ff headers, open exhaust, engine management by Sportec, 2 Bosch ECU’s (modified for racing & Dyno Tested by Sportec’s German ECU specialist Gunter Mandl)1.2 bar & 1.1 Bar, 560 RWHP, Sportec Carbon fiber Filter Box w/BMC filter, RUF fuel filter, 5 bar fuel pressure regulator. With the new aftermarket power intake plenum, 75mm Throttle body, 9ff headers the RWHP is est. at 600
Brakes:
New Brembo 6 piston fronts (same calipers that are on the new Audi R10 LMP car), only 3 races, Tilton Master cylinders, Brembo Rotors w/Aluminum hats, Steel brake lines, PFC 01 brake pads (one race).
Fuel:
100 liter fuel cell by Fuel Safe, 1 year old installed by Kinetic Motorsports.
Cockpit:
Cool Suit box and Cool air for helmut w/adjustable dials on the dash. Recaro seat, Schroth 5 point harness, Window Net, Fire Suppression system, Momo Steering wheel w/Radio Talk button, New DynaBat Drycell 12 lb. Battery, Radio Box, large Rearview mirror.
Body:
GT2 stock Plastic front & rear bumper covers w/spare set, Carbon Fiber Doors Hood & rear deck lid, Front fenders have modified flares for 275 front tires, 3 sets of BBS 3 piece lightweight polished rims., Shield Lexan Front, rear and quarter windows.
Aerodynamics:
Front splitter w/fence posts and under tray, Crawford 63” rear spoiler w/wicker.
