For one reason or another, none of the warranty companies that were mentioned would warranty my car. I did find one though. Called Total Shield Select. Anyone have experience with this company? Available at BH Porsche.

I purchased my 996 TT warranty thru Rusnak, Westlake - I think you have to buy it through a dealer. Its through Western General for 3 yrs or 36K miles. Paid about $3500. Purchased it when I bought the car last Sept and so far I have not had to use it. I did have to replace a part in the clutch that was not covered but I don't think any warranties cover clutch parts. Good luck.

The easy care warranty that i purchased was about $2700 for 6yr/75k mi with $200 deductible. In addition, as i mentioned before, newport auto did an oil change and inspection for an additional $500 (easy care requires this). I did negotiate this price down because i found it cheaper at another dealership (i forget where, somewhere in LA), but newport matched their price (i live in OC so it was much closer for me). Also, the warranty can cost more depending on the year/mi of your car.
