Battery Replacement in the key

Has anyone ever replaced the battery inside the key. Wondering if anyone knows the procedure to do this. I had a buddy who took his apart and had a hard time getting it to snap back together. Thanks in advance.

There is a small release button on the side. It takes a standard CR2032 battery as used on computer motherboards.
