996TT Exhaust that sounds like Ferrari F355 w/ Tubi

Looking to replace stock exhaust w/ sport exhaust on my '02 996TT 6speed. I'm primarily interested in exhaust note, obviously, HP gains are great but I don't plan on going much beyond Stage 1 level HP- 500-525. Used to own a F355 w/ Tubi which is the benchmark I'm shooting for- even though achieving this sound on a 996TT will be tough. Don't want it TOO loud or aggressive- looking for medium sound level w/ light to no drone.

Want that EXOTIC, F1 kind of sound- no NASCAR or RICER sounding units. I've read every exhaust post , TWICE!!, here and on Rennlist, so I'm pretty well up to speed on what's out there. Looking for information on exhausts that really nail that more exotic, somewhat higher pitched, F1 type sound, or at least get close to it. A little more throat at idle, a little burble on trailing throttle would be some of the attributes I'm after.

So, which sport exhausts will fill the bill ??

Thanks to all for your input.

Franz

I would think that if you read every exhaust post twice you would have found that there is not really a way to make a P-car sound like an f-car. Your best bet is to find as many cars with modified exhaust as you can in your area and listen for yourself. Good luck on your search.

Alex, I fully understand the inherent differences between the two engines, that being said, which sport exhaust gets CLOSEST to the F355/Tubi sound ??

I have been reading every exhaust post 5 times also.
Europipe seems interesting and on my short list but I am open to other opinions.

Europipe is definately what I would recommend. It is a top quality product with excellent fit and finish. It will get you a great p-car sound. Try and listen to one in person.

Sharkey knows more than most of us combined.

Go listen to a TUBI (most recent version, love their big tips),
and Europipe (which I have).

Good luck,

MK

You may also look at Kreis-sieg exhaust. Their exhaust are more high pich tone. But is hard to find an exhaust to compare with F355 with tubi, not even F430 with tubi sound as nice....

As others have said, nothing close to it. I had the same intention before and gave up and end up with an f-car.

997 GT3 comes damn close in some videos !!!

You should hear my RUF 590 with no cats, im sure its a combo of the LWFW, headers, turbos and just everything but it has an extreme exotic resonance at cruising speeds and when accelerating lightly or brisk, doesnt sound like the usual afterburner turbo sound..

Also RCNJ's (Raudel's GT2) custom exhaust sounds CRAZY, cruising on Sunday i thought it was the Gallardo or 360 i was hearing, but it wasnt!

(Bottom line is, you will not find a comparable setup to a Ferrari with Tubi, BUT you can get a nice setup that will sound very unique/exotic and nothing like the usual Fabspeeds on turbos! )
