Slight Surging help
Slight Surging help
Ok I am thinking this maybe plugs (even though they were just replaced 2K mi and 6m ago)
Anyway, when crusing along at 0.0 bar I gently press the gas to pass I feel a very slight surge, almost like the boost is clicking on and then off. Is this a problem or normal?
Thanks from a NOOB!

Are you feeling this right around 2900-3100 rpms? I feel what I think you are talking about at these rpms. It is the Vario-cams. Found this online (I am not taking credit on this):
VarioCam with a Plus
The VarioCam intake-side camshaft adjustment is accompanied by an intake-side valve lift changeover system in the 911 Turbo.Porsche calls the system VarioCam Plus. The valve lift adjustment system featured on the normal-aspiration engines in the 911 model series consists of two variable-position cup tappets placed within each other on the intake side of the engine and actuated by two cams of different size on the intake camshafts.VarioCam Plus provides optimum power and torque and improves fuel consumption, emissions and performance.
Like on the 911 GT 2,the cylinder charge is controlled by VarioCam Plus made up of four valves per cylinder, the axial camshaft adjusters, and the switchable valve tappets. The two intake and exhaust valves in each cylinder are arranged in V-configuration,at an inclined angle of 27.4 °.To keep the moving masses in the valve gear as small as possible, valve shaft diameter is only 6 mm.Contrary to the 911 Carrera, the intake and exhaust valves on the Porsche 911 Turbo feature dual valve springs closing the valves reliably even under the higher forces generated by the exhaust gas counter-pressure.VarioCam Plus valve lift ad- justment consists of two changeover bucket tappets positioned within each other on the intake side of the engine and actuated by two cams of different size on the intake side cam- shaft of the engine. This serves to optimise engine output and torque,on the one hand, while reducing fuel consumption and exhaust emissions and improving motoring refinement,on the other.

may be your MAF too - could use a cleaning...
i had a slight surging feeling when i was at almost no throttle - like kinda highway cruising style, i thought it was the drive-by-wire throttle, but after cleaning my MAF sensor, its gone.

you can search as there is more info on here and rennlist etc, but its to the left of the airbox and has a connector going into it that clips off...take that off, get a t20 wrench that has the tamper-proof hole in the end (sears is where i found it cause the lowes and such doesnt carry the security ones), and then just unscrew the sensor and clean it with some electrical contact cleaner - or better yet my buddy said he found some actual MAF spray or my mechanic said there is some type of really pure alcohol solvent...either way, clean the heck out of it, let it dry/spray it with compressed air, and screw it back in.
you can actually get it off without pulling the connection, but its a pita that way.
hope that helps
