Air / Fuel Gauges
Air / Fuel Gauges
What does everyone use? I bought one of those DynoJet widebands awhile back for my race car, but never installed it. It's actually still sitting in my garage, but the guage is really weird because it's analog, so it's harder to read if your driving.
Is there any on the market that can measure both banks?

Powell,
The Brockway R920 Digital Vehicle Sensor Monitor monitors both banks, but you have to toggle between screen 1 and screen 4. It also clears codes and monitors a bunch of other stuff - all off the OBD2 port and the OEM wideband 02 sensors. I had one made to monitor both banks and I think Brockway now made that a standard feature. I also had it made with orange background and LED's to match the OEM Porsche display color and ordered the optional DIN mounting plate for a custom install. I have not used it yet in my TT, but tested it in my X5. It seems to be very quick to display RPM and the AFR seems quick to respond. My car is going to be custom tuned next week and I will compare the readings from the R920 to the professional tuner equipment. Here is a picture (with the DIN mounting plate as opposed to the plastic case) and a link:

LM-1 is a good unit but I'm with you on that one. It's good on the dyno when you can just hang it from the steering wheel like my buddy does on the LS1 cars.
I think I will end up getting AEM then. My buddy said he has one in his EVO and loves it.
