Do you perform you own scheduled maintenance, installations or minor repair work?
After reading a recent thread regarding the price of oil changes, it seems most of the people that responded in the thread would rather pay hundreds of dollars to have someone else to change their oil, rather than do the work themselves. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that, it just seems foreign to me since I've always enjoyed working on my own cars. Not only do I find it enjoyable, but it saves me considerable money that I could spend elsewhere. I also get the chance to learn how my car works.
Anyway, that's the purpose of this anonymous poll. I'd like to find out the percentage of forum members that work on their own cars. This will be a multi-option poll, so you can select the option(s) that most accurately apply to you.
To clarify the terms, "scheduled maintenance"; means things like oil changes, spark plug changes, tranny/rear diff fluid changes, etc...
"Installations or minor repair work"; means installing new a BBK, suspension, seats, SSKs, turbos, intercoolers, etc...or replacing or fixing basic items that do not require special tools or facilities; such as swapping out a bad set of brakes (calipers, rotors or pads), a new MAF, etc...
NOTE: Some people prefer to have the dealer perform all maintenance for the sale of consistency (since all maintenance is normally tracked by the dealer's computer), for the purposes of resale. If you are one of those people, be sure to check option 4.

But my self experimentation would probably end with some self destruct sequence initiating or something equally as absurd...
The shop that does my work for the track is going to let me dig around with my car a bit and give me some "how to" tips.

Yeah I have seen too many statements on my RO that were like

if i had a proper garage, i would attempt many more things. i did a lot of the work on my supra myself. but i do have to say - it's kinda nice paying someone else and not getting dirty

Little things like oil changes/fluids/pads/ect...I find it therapy. It also allows one to do this...

I do it all myself! My friends think I am crazy to touch such a car but I have worked on many cars before and enjoy learning. Porsche dealers will bend you over (read $500 oil change post)!
So far I have done my clutch, coilovers, spark plugs, intake plenum. Will be doing the turbos next weekend.
