Neil,

I am looking for headers that you were to send my 1 month ago.
I am starting to get a little anxious that you do not respond to my
emails, calls, or faxes. I would prefer to not explain my situation to
the entire 6 speed community. My car is sitting with the engine out
at Protomotive and waiting for the headers you PROMISED. If you dont
think Todd's or my time is valuable, go ahead and dont tell me what is going
on..........

It is unfortunate that some people only respond when things become
a little more "public". I would definitely prefer to keep things private.
I hope they arrive tomorrow, if not I may share some info that is not all that
impressive.

Let's just say that this situation is somewhat analagous to
VR not being able to call back KPG because his "phone blew up"
(apparently for several months) and as soon as the lack
of callbacks, lack of emails, lack of responding to faxex is made public
along with a few other tidbits of info PEOPLE WAKE UP AND RESPOND.
Best way to do it ? hardly. Effective ? Very. VR sent check next day,
What a miracle....

 

i've always wondered what is so hard about being honest in the business world....it seems that money will eventually trump everything, even someone's integrity. i don't know what happened with this specific case and will not speculate but it just seems honesty is always the best policy.

if you can't do something, tell the customer instead of leading them on for weeks, months etc.... If you screw up, admit it, learn from it, and make it right even if it means coming out in the red on the deal. everybody screws up but unfortunately not everybody is man enough to admit to it and take responsibility

I have had more than my share of horrific tuners, but until details are posted no need for the bandwagoneers to jump bones here. From what I hear the customer got his goods so lets leave it at that for now.

 

UPDATE:

Protomotive Rec'd my headers today.
I will not blame the qualilty of them on Neil (Horsehit Chinese ones with warped flanges). Todd's crew have two hours in them getting the flange on one side flat enough to seal, and deburring the inside of them so my 18g turbos dont eat any metal. These look like the same ones Fabspeed has been selling (according to Todd). If I was a true player (like Jamie, Markski
and Scott), I would have Todd throw these in the recycle bin and have him
make me some REAL ONES. Anyway, Neil did send the headers as he said yesterday. It is an odd coincidence that my post yesterday got the ball moving and got them shipped???

 

by no means was i jumping on the bandwagon..... this post was not meant in any way towards Neil and his outfit......mostly because i know NOTHING of what was happening in this particular case. my post was more of a vent and to comment upon crap that seems to be happening more & more and Woodster's comment made me think of the issue yet once again.

it would be assinine of me to make this comment towards Neil by just reading this thread
