Help! car not turning on, guages and all warning lights are on.
I agree that either you alternator is bad or you threw a belt or it is loose. This is not going to do much for a smoked clutch though. Be careful because if your battery is not charging and you drive it, you will eventually be stranded somewhere. Good luck and keep us posted.
I feel like you may have a broken pulley just feel the belt and see if there is play. Its behind the airbox. Im not sure where the belt tensioner is but that might have done it.

silver: yes i agree with you battery isnt charging, and i already found myself stranded, lol.
highhats: i removed airbox today and all belts seem fine and normal.
i dont know if the bad launch incident is just a coincidence, since after taht incident, i had a few good runs.
As of now im thinking bad alternator since battery is not charging.
Will let you guys know tomorow. Towing car to dealership.

update:
the alternator is the culprit. just like most thought.
just got a call from the dealership they took care of the issue and replaced alternator. i guess the smoked clutch smell and the bad launch was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with problem.
question is now: the battery that died, that left me stranded, can i charge that battery and put that back in the car.
(that is the new optima lightweight battery with bracket that took me a while to make)
the battery in there is the oem stock battery.
question is should i charge the optima.
if a battery is absolutely dead, will there be any problems if i put it in there for the "new" alternator to charge up.

Depends how low the battery got. A little low and it can be salvaged. Really low and it's toast.
Either way though do NOT rely on your alternator to charge it. Put it on a battery charger out of the vehicle then load test it to see if it's up to snuff (any chief/checker/pep boys will load test it). If all checks out then toss her back in.
