I'm not sure of the specifics but I know he had some serious back issues that required spinal surgery. I offered to get him a few recommendations for doctors in the area but he said he was all set. That was about 3 weeks ago... RIP.

Wow, sad news to lose someone such as Ron,
there is no way to write intelligently about such a loss.
