The fastest I ever ran at BIR was a 1:59 with my old 944S2. (before it was fully track prepped) I have a feeling that after a good weekend up there (I have not run at BIR for over 6 years), I would be very close to his time in my car and would be faster than his time in his car. Hopefully we will get to find out this summer.

The two cars that beat him were GT3 CUP CARS !!!!!!!!
Luis Sr. beat my best time to date by 2 full seconds !!

Marty, Thank you for posting this.
For you information and clarification, I enter my GT2 in last two years Nord Stern Concour events and get first place both times (never a second place) in my class and the highest points for all the full concour car. Last year we had more than 62 Posches in this event. The other event I entered last year was the Maplewood (Porsche Dealer) Auto Fair, for all Porsche, all Audi, and all Mercedes Bens. This is a drive and show event and for that occasion I got the “People Choice Award” for the Porsche brand, competing against more than 45 Porsches.

This goes to prove what I keep preaching (and showing
) in this part of the world. You want to go fast on the track with a street Porsche? Get a turbo, make sure it falls below 3200lbs, has close to a true 500BHP and upgrade suspension. No 997GT3RS can get close, and Cup cars will struggle.
