Helped friend pick up new 997 Turbo and finally Met MARKSKI !!!!!!!!
I had the great pleasure of Picking up a new 997 Twin Turbo from
White-Allen Porsche in Dayton Ohio this week (NOT MY CAR, a very good
friends car who also owns a RUF CTR2 which he keeps in Germany at RUF in
Pfaffenhausen), and spending the night in Chicago. Markski met up with us
and helped us get the car into Loeber Porsche in Chicago to set up Daytime
running lights. If you have not met Markski, it is a trip: He is one of the nicest, funniest guys you will ever meet. He has enough energy and enthusiam to run a small city
and everywhere he goes people know him.Since his car is still at Protomotive where my car is he picked me up in his
Mitsu EVO 8 (My buddy followed in his new turbo) Two words; HOLY ****'s
,The thing is Violent. Markski's Evo looks relatively stock except for vents in CF hood revealing custom headers and the front grille is diced up to reveal the largest Damn Intercooler I have ever seen. It has tricky/sticky racing clutch and is jerky/lurky until you get rolling and get the revs up...
We got out on the Kennedy and He turned up the boost and BAMB
I thought Jesse The Body Ventura (ex MN governer) had just picked me up and slammed me into the back of my seat
. The funny thing is rightwhen we went flying down the left lane (concrete divider next to us) up the exit ramp goes SANDOVAL's old Black X-50 with "SPORTEC" on the license plates !!! CLub411 the new owner is lucky he didnt become Marksk's next victim.
Anyway, at the Porsche Dealership Markski knew one of the tech's and the Sales manager, My buddy bought some kind of pocket code reading device from the tech . The grand finalle' was following Marek (He in his EVO, me driving my buddy's brand new 997TT), down "Markski Blvd"
.This is the secluded parkway in the "Mexico section" of Chicago where Markski hit 180 mph in his Proto Porsche
. He gave us the full show spewing rich black exhuast and fire coming out of the EVO's exhaust...all on Markski Blvd.
Priceless !!
Pics to follow tomorrow...

"My car will make point five past lightspeed. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself"
Plus I had his new Ski Mix #255,183,736..ya know - the one with the Hot Polish girl on the cover... playing in my car...good for an extra 23hp boost.
Honestly, I dont know if his new CD is good or not..becuase I can't hear **** since my brainchild of putting Straight Pipes on!

Buddy you are right, it would not even be close.
Also the 997TT is 4000 RPM's for the first 1000 miles and we were sticking
to it, besides we went 120 at 4000 in 6th gear (approx). The 997TT by the
way is a fantastic car, the fit and finish of the interior is many levels above our current cars. Markski EVO is "no joke" as he says and it isnt, it is a rocket!!
