Click link for pictures. Just taking a leisurely Sunday cruise and a couple cars locked up the brakes in usual Downtown LA TRAFFIC STYLE AND B00M, THERE 'S a Subby on the Esprit

I would think it was his fault unless the scoobie went in reverse on the freeway?

That's a pretty strong car. You figure the windshield would have caved in and more damage to the fiberglass than that.

The vacuum assisted resin injection process that Lotus uses to form its body panels results in pretty amazing strength.

My Esprit is one car I will never sell !

I would love to own a few body shops in LA. The business must be huge. I drove through LA going to SD last summer and must have saw 10 pile ups. One was a completely flamed out van that was so burned that it was resting on the rims. The tires were already melted by the tme we passed by.

One more thing I noticed. They like shut down the traffc flow completely. Makes for nice weekend back-up.

Reason 2341 why I would not live in LA. The funny thing is one of the major causes of accidents is people staring at each other like there at the mall or something.

I have to say, thats the best looking lotus I've seen, black/black with those rims looks amazing.

I'm shocked thats all the damage it got, I was expecting worse.

it is one of three black / blacks made for that year
and yeah I was expecting a lot more damage too although the adjuster who is coming to see it tomorrow says it may have a bent frame . The frame is very suspect in rear end collisions according to him. We'll see I guess
