The high HP TT's are benefiting a lot from a higher redline. With built motors, these engines seem to handle rpms above 7k without any problems. Now why cant the tips rev this high? Is it that difficult to recode the tip computer or is there other issues?

 

Are you saying that yours does not get near this high or are you asking if a TIP could be built to go this high? Certainly the engine could be built to rev to that limit and beyond. No difference between the engines on a TIP or manual so no difference there. I am pretty comfortable that Kevin at UMW could provide me programming for my TIP if I chose to go that far with this car.

 

Im asking if a tip transmission can redline up to 8k. I know there are some highly modded tip owners but it seems like programming the tip ECU is a big issue.
