when should I upgrade my ICs?

at what power levels should one upgrade the stock (non-x50) intercoolers?

The Higher the HP out put the bigger hp gains you'll see with the Evoms club sport ICs. Ive been told that up to the stage IV your really don't need bigger ICs. But its always nice to have upgraded components.

At stage 4 you should have GT2 IC's. Anything above that get the EVO's or may B 6's. IC's aren't so much about HP as keeping your engine and turbos healthy. Don't loose big money in an effort to save a moderate amount on your IC's.

Since we are at it, I will also add what I heard from reliable sources...Porsche engineers thought that at 462HP and 1 bar of boost on K24s they should be upgraded for the GT2 ones. Then some chassis dyno operators came and showed the world that those engineers are wrong, and nowadays, you can go to 600whp safely with stock ICs.......for at least 10 seconds.

Jean , you are just a wealth of information. I thought it was only possible to go 5 sec on a chassis dyno on stock Ic's.... now I can do 10sec ...will the wonders never cease.

KPG, in the case of your engine this does not apply, it has a GT3RS crank .

Oh Jean... I have already learned so much from you... like the spreadsheets you sent me had two different formulas...stangely enough the stock 993TT you own was dead on, but when put into the data cells of company"X" it wasnt so good...lol.. Please, I have learned enough about you to last many moons my friend

It will take you a few more private classes to understand how a formula works. Keep trying though, you are drawing nice lines already.

Well then Jean...publicly educate me. The check files you sent me invalidating company 'X''s runs work just fine when their data is put in the file that showed your own 993TT passing with flying colors..Hmmm....2 separate standards... perhaps you need remedial classwork. I will leave it alone... I wouldnt want all the back channel BS thrown my way again because I have spoken too loudly again...lol...The last thing I need now is the Jean posse after me again..lol...
