Tarek,

Keep us posted. Glad you're ok. Was really looking forward to see the car around here. Hopefully you'll have a replacement and we can plan a local drive!

Sorry to hear about your car, but I'm glad you're ok, sounds like it could have been much worse and to echo what others have already said, cars can be replaced, even the ones we really loved. Good luck on your search for a new TT

Just heard back from insurance. The car is Totalled...

I don't want the insurance company to low ball me with an offer.

The cars is an '03, 11,000 miles, non X50, Triptronic Transmission, Full Leather, Wood Grain, Sport Techno wheels, nav etc.

Anyone know how I can get the best deal from the insurance company on this car ? Tips/Advice would be apreciated...

NADA quotes my car as worth 80,000 retail and 73,000 trade in....

Wow, this is going to be VERY interesting!!! Ya know, i'd recommend getting the HIGHEST Blue-book retail you can, then mark it up $5g's and say the car was in showroom condition.

Can't wait to see how it plays out.

They'll probably do some research and find out what similar cars are selling for since 996tt kbb values are a bit inflated (last time I checked). Around 80k seems right to me. Maybe you can print out similar listings from cars.com, autotrader, etc.
