ECU, Question??

I have a X50 soldered in chip from GIAC, I want to sell it and the ECU as I have a spare, can I get my Porsche Tech to re-code the chipped ECU for the guy that wants to buy it or do I have to send it to a GIAC dealer?

Thanks for any help.

You will need to reset the ECU for the "new" car. You need a PST2 or PIWIS to do this. I'm not sure what happens to the chip...as they will probably need to flash it back to stock first.

I am going to attempt this with an upsolute. We were told by a pcar dealer shop foreman and he said as long as you have the code for both vehicles it could be done.

We will see...
