the price it found on the gt2 wing for my 996 cab is 4800 for all the 12 parts to the wing (this is from porsche). does anyone know where i can get the wing at a better price, or if anyone knows of a way i can buy an aftermarket wing that looks identical to the gt2 wing. thanks

For a while he was supplying dealers with his GT-2 wing b/c of some of the problems the stock wing was having (failures!)

 

james-can you elaborate on what failed?the stock actuators/lifter for the wing or the finishing/quality.thanks

 

There is no actuator on the GT-2 wing. It is manually adjustable. What fails is the support intake wall at the leading edge. It is VERY thin here with a small cover over the edge. It is a bad design by Porsche when you consider the stresses of holding a large wing. Anyway, the 04 is supposed to be beefed up in this area. As far as I know, there are no reported catastrophic failures but the crack propagates and everyone with a problem has been getting them replaced under warranty. I think it has been mostly the inner edge on the right and left.
