Car is back with new GT2 Crate Motor! Thanks UMW!

The car was just making a terrible noise. I could have drove it till it failed. Of course that may have made the core total junk. New MSRP with no core was $27k.
Well with out going in to details. I bought a brand new GT2/X50 motor from porsche. I opted not to do a core and sold my old motor which was low mileage in good working order to Kevin. He also allowed me to keep my old turbos and sell my new K24's. This helped me finance my new motor and clutch kit.
The actual total for motor/clutch/labor/fluids was $16,775.00. The sad part is the only thing I realy got for $17k was a new clutch/flywheel/ulcer
Yeah I really wish Porsche would have done something. Maybe a couple free car washes. I just think next time I buy a car I will let my wallet decide who my next car will be from. All my fight at this point is worn out.
Woodster
I am running KPG's old setup. So I have been chipped and have upgraded turbos.
KPG
Left you a message. I love to come up there after break in for one of your track days. I would do Norwalk as well.
EVO911
Sure thing let me get through this break in period. I am try to be careful. Although I have gave it hell a little bit. Know anyone looking for a 03 Cobra with just 4k miles let me know. I am selling mine.

IMS Failure
When I read this thread, I said Holly @#$#, I should look into one of those ads I am always seeing about proactive IMS bearing failure fixes.
For others who thought this and didn't look it up, according to the supplier http://www.imsretrofit.com/ it does NOT apply to our cars. Yay!
"All model year 1997-2008 Boxster, Cayman, and 911 models can suffer from IMS failures, with exception of Turbo, GT2, or GT3 models."
